The Brooms – 1pm

The Brooms offer an eclectic repertoire of songs from country folk to pop and blues. Having a concealed number of years between us, our acoustic sound is diverse and infectious. Not 4, not 10, but up to as many as 14 strings plucked in poetic unison on bass, guitars and violin - yes - all this combined with lush vocal harmonies!

Shakey Ground – 2:30pm

Over the past few years the West Coast’s harmony band Shakey Ground have built a reputation for great renditions of pop, rock, country, blues, jazz, soul and R&B classics from the 50’s to the 80’s. With half a century of performance Danny sings lead and plays saxophone and flute including those Chch institutions Louie & the Hotsticks, Ikista and Sneaky Feet. Geoff sings lead vocals and plays rhythm guitar also with many years of experience such as Chch’s Itchy Feet, Dunedin’s Off the Tracks and Sydney’s Kalamazoo. Deb plays bass, sings harmonies and also has years of live experience on both sides of the Tasman. Finally Robbie sings backing vocals and handles the percussion instruments. Shakey Ground have been in constant demand ever since their first show.
