Full of Latin flavours and Afro-american beats, the band has been entertaining Christchurch since 2015 with a variety of rhythms including, Bossa, Cumbia, Samba, Rumba and much more. They ensure there is an upbeat music to enjoy, relax or dance.

The Penny Blacks – 2:30pm

Penny is a lyricist of exceptional insight, at times surveying life from her window and then the loneliness of a young mother in a strange city. Her observations of the most mundane take on surreal aspects. Jimmy Taylor is a guitar player pure and simple with an innate sense of melody and a profound connection with Penny's lyrics. Micky D plays the bass - the bottom end growl, the sonic foundation of The Penny Blacks.
